Research on fear of crime began in the 1960 and continued with an ever increasing interest, so that the 1980s to be considered as its ‘golden age’. These surveys are continued with undiminished interest in our days, while they also evolve methodologically aiming at the necessary interdisciplinary approach and the thorough examination of the phenomenon.
