The teaching hours per week are three (3) for each course. In the fourth semester, the dissertation is elaborated and presented, which has thirty (30) credits E.C.T.S. Therefore, overall, the MA of Criminology has one hundred and twenty (120) credits E.C.T.S.

The attendance of the courses is compulsory. The postgraduate student who fails to attend one of the courses more than three times, is expelled by the programme. Under exceptional circumstance, the Steering Committee may decide otherwise, after a relevant application by the student.

The attendance of the postgraduate programme may include, apart from the teaching hours, seminars, special lectures, individual or collective and oral or written works and presentations. The teaching and the examination of the courses is in Greek language, while lectures in foreign languages are also possible. Additionally, the organisation of seminars, scientific events and workshops are possible. There is also the possibility of fulfilling a part of the postgraduate studies abroad, on the basis of the relevant collaborations of Panteion University, after the decision of the Steering Committee of the postgraduate programme.

At the end of each semester, the examination of each course takes place though either acquittals work or written exams. The evaluation of the overall performance of the postgraduate students is carried out through the presentation of written or oral exercises during the courses. The grades of the postgraduates students range between zero (0) and ten (10), while the lowest passing grade is five (5). The same scale of grades applies to the case of the dissertation. The weekly three-hour courses of each semester should not be less than ten (10) and more than thirteen (13).

The periods of examination for each course are two. The one is in February for the winter semester, the other is in June for the spring semester, while there is also one iterative for both semesters in September. The iterative period of examination of the third semester is the June of the same academic year. The exact dates of the periods of examination are designated by the Steering Committee. In case of failure at both the normal and the iterative periods of examination, the student is expelled.

The final grade of the Master Degree is the average of the total scores during all years of study, as they are extracted by the sum of the grades in each course, the grade of the dissertation, multiplied by three, and dividing the sum by twelve.
